| Chinanews, Beijing, September 12 – Chang'e-1, the lunar orbiter that will be launched before 2008 by China, will take 30 Chinese songs with it to give live broadcast around the moon.
The list of songs was released at a briefing hosted at the Lunar Exploration Center of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense on September 10, 2007, including odes to the Yellow River and the Yangtze River, arias from classic Chinese operas, as well as pop songs from both the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
