Tibet reopens to overseas tourists
The Tibet government has announced the autonomous region will open to overseas tourists starting on Wednesday.
It's been more than 3 months since the region closed its doors to foreigners due to security concerns. Domestic tourists, including those from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan were allowed to visit beginning in April. Since then, 160 tour groups have visited the region.
Tuesday's announcement indicates a full recovery of Tibet's tourism market.
