UN chief Ban Ki-moon has welcomed the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's submission of its nuclear programs.
China's Foreign Ministry says the DPRK's ambassador to China, Choe Jin Su, has submitted the declaration to Wu Dawei, China's top negotiator on the Korean Peninsular nuclear issue.
Ban Ki-moon said, "Today's submission by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea of the declaration of its nuclear programs to China as Chair of the Talks, followed by the reciprocal actions of the United States, are important steps forward. I call on all six participants to take this opportunity to expedite movement towards the full implementation of the 2005 Joint Statement.
