Rain current moves out of Guangxi
The weather is clearing up in rain-ravaged Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The local meteorological department says the current that triggered days of heavy rains in Guangxi has completely moved out of the region.
Experts say the rain current is now heading northwards. But the weather in the Guangxi region is predicted to turn cloudy over the next three to five days. The region will also see rising temperatures.
Experts say the heavy rains in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region during the past 10 days have been highly unusual.
Gao Anning, Chief engineer Guangxi Meteorological Center, said, "The precipitation in some areas reached five-hundred to six-hundred millimeters. Even seven-hundred millimeters of rainfall was reported. This accounts for two-third of the rainfall in a whole year in Guangxi. So the weather was extremely abnormal in the region. "
